When careers as a cabinet maker and as a warehouse worker proved unsatisfying, he began working part time so he could earn an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science which led to his first IT job at the data center for the local county office.

After subsequently obtaining certification from the Cisco Networking Academy, Mr. Lozano became a Computer Training Instructor and eventually a Network & System Administrator at the Army’s Defense Language Institute. His desire to advance his career led to his decision to complete his B.S. degree in Information Systems while continuing to work fulltime. While the task required sacrificing all of his free time to study, with the support of his wife, he soon became the first in his family with a bachelor’s degree.

In the intervening years, Mr. Lozano has continued to support the military and DoD community in various Network Engineer and System Administrator roles. In each of these positions, he has earned praise for his technical expertise as well as his leadership and organization.
