Luz Esparza

Managing Director

Accenture Technology - North America

Advanced Technology and Architecture

Luz Esparza is a Managing Director with Accenture's Advanced Technology and Architecture practice, based in Los Angeles. She is an Accenture-certified Delivery Lead and Senior Technology Architect with over 12 years of experience in delivering custom application projects, from managing the delivery of the technical architecture through design, build, test, operations, and production support. Ms. Esparza effectively manages and delivers complex solutions with multi-site teams. Recently she has taken on a new role as the North American Lead for Automation Engineering practice in Accenture Technology which includes Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence capabilities.

Having worked with Accenture clients in fields as diverse as Managed Care, Financial Services, Automotive, and Government Services, Ms. Esparza has been a mainstay in Accenture’s Inclusion & Diversity programs, serving as co-lead of the planning committee for the company’s International Women’s Day events, as well as being the executive sponsor of the local Hispanic American Employee Resource Group (HAERG) after several years acting as lead of that diversity organization. She has led campus recruiting for Accenture’s technology practice at UCLA and USC, where she collaborated with the campus chapters of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) for diversity recruiting.

The oldest child of Mexican immigrant parents, Ms. Esparza was the first of her family to attend college, despite reservations from some relatives about the value of an advanced education for women whom they expected to get married and raise a family. She was accepted into the Electrical Engineering program at the prestigious Stanford University and when she graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, she was one of the few women, and one of only two Latinas, in a graduating class of 175 people. Despite her relative’s reservations, Ms. Esparza has managed to successfully combine her role as a wife and mother of three small children with her extraordinarily remarkable career. True to her name, she is a leading light to her company, community, and family.
