Dr. Adiel Guinzburg’s journey to senior manager for support systems development at the Boeing Company has taken her around the world — literally.  Born and raised in South Africa to Argentine parents, her education and career pursuits have required stops in California, Switzerland, Japan, New York, Washington DC, and Seattle.  Along the way, she learned to speak SEVEN languages, becoming fluent in English, Spanish, Afrikaans and French.

Young Adiel first came to the United States under a graduate fellowship at the California Institute of Technology. She joined Boeing legacy company Rocketdyne in 1997 where she designed and analyzed turbomachinery components for launch vehicles.

Dr. Guinsburg’s work experience over 25 years with Boeing covers a diverse range of programs, including rocket engine development, Boeing’s Smart Grid, the 787 Dreamliner, and the new midsize airplane. Her level of responsibility rose with each new assignment. On the Dreamliner program, she led the implementation of a new horizontal stabilizer leading edge for a stunning $60 million in savings and executed a point design test for a material change, generating another $40,000 in savings per ship set.

In her current role, Dr. Guinsburg leads a team of more than 100 engineers and technologists developing systems for Boeing’s most complex derivative platforms, including the P-8A, KC-46, and VC-25B aircraft.  Her work influences the entire engineering and supply chain value stream, and her leadership impacts over 70% of the lifecycle costs for the products she supports.
