2021 GMiS Luminary Honorees

 
 

As a Predictive Analytics Advisor for Southern California Edison, Rosemary Perez is responsible for the design and implementation of safety initiatives that reduce or mitigate life-threatening and life-altering injuries.

Ms. Perez co-leads a truly innovative effort called the “Safety Predictive Model,” which uses machine learning analytics to identify and mitigate safety risk in a high-hazard environment.

With over 20 years of experience in the utilities industry, she is a change agent skilled in both business, operational analysis and organizational change management.

Ms. Perez has successfully led high profile projects in the Energy and Risk Management fields through cost estimation, predictive analytics, benchmarking and compliance streamline processes.

The winner of a first place “Innovation Award” from The National Safety Council, Ms. Perez has a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of La Verne and an MBA from the University of Redlands. She is currently studying for a Doctorate of Education in Learning and Organizational Change at Baylor University after earning certifications at UC Irvine and UC San Diego.

Despite her busy study and work schedule, Ms. Perez finds time to give back to her community as President and Founder of a nonprofit organization named, “Women United Rise,” which focuses on helping young girls in underserved communities break barriers and succeed in the fields of STEM.
