As Lead Process Engineer in the Tissue Manufacturing division of Kimberly Clark, Yadira Cano Camacho has consistently delivered solid technical solutions in support of the company’s operations.

Projects she has led and supported as part of the Asset Optimization engineering team have brought more than $1.2 million in fiber savings and a significant rate of operational improvements in Kimberly Clark’s Manufacturing and Converting product systems.

Overall, Ms. Cano’s contributions to the company’s Jenks, Oklahoma mill have delivered a 13% increase in machine efficiency and a 34% increase in productivity within just one year. Other memorable metrics she’s achieved include reducing delays by 1.9% and providing a 4.1% improvement in year on year delivery.

Within just two months of her arriving at the Jenks plant, Ms. Cano developed and ran multiple trials to understand required capital to increase a critical assets speed past current design capability and provided data to help determine if the cost of the capital project would be offset by expected improved throughput.

With the COVID-19 pandemic creating an unprecedented demand for paper and tissue products, this Iowa State graduate’s contributions have been critical to ensuring continued availability of Kimberly Clark’s products to consumers.
