Izabel Assis is the North America Commercial Director for Industrial Solutions, a business unit within the Industrial Intermediates & Infrastructure operating segment of Dow, Inc., a company that she has almost exclusively worked with since 1997.

She is currently responsible for five direct reports and a staff of over 50 additional employees in a role that includes business strategy, development, and growth, as well as leadership, human resources development, and customer relationships.

In a position where her performance is measured by safety, compliance, area variable margin, EBITDA, margin growth, forecast accuracy, volume growth, and a host of other metrics, Ms. Assis is a leader who finds innovative solutions, remains calm, empowers her team, and never loses sight of the positive.

Her agility, intellect and ability to engage others continues to deliver strong business results.

This Brazilian-born leader received her Executive MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and has multiple professional certifications. Ms. Assis also currently serves as a co-chair for Dow’s Hispanic & Latin Network  and co-chair for Dow’s 2020 United Way Campaign in the Great Lakes Bay Region of Michigan.
