Luis A. Marques is a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer working in Raytheon Intelligence & Space’s Hardware Engineering Center, supporting the Active Electronically Scanned Array product line. These high performance active antenna arrays are an area for which he is a nationally recognized Subject Matter Expert with 24 years experience advancing the state of the art.
Mr. Marques has extensive capabilities in designing affordable, agile, efficient, multifunction, high power, wide bandwidth, high density, high frequency, multibeam, multifunction, and polarization diverse antennas for maritime, ground, airborne and space-based applications and spanning UHF to W-band frequencies.
This Puerto Rican-born graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology earned both his B.S. and his M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Institute where he was also a member of the local chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. He joined a predecessor company of Raytheon Technologies immediately after receiving his master’s degree.
Mr. Marques remains at the consolidated company today where he continues to lead hardware development teams while making time for mentoring younger engineers and sharing his knowledge with publications and presentations in various company symposiums.
