As Director of Contracts for the Strategic and Missile Defense business of Lockheed Martin Space, Maria Hartin-Swart is responsible for contracting functions within the division valued at over $15 billion and manages over 48 employees across five U.S. offices.

She is described by her colleagues as an exceptional leader who guides senior staff on complex business decisions, develops strategies for business teams, works closely with key company customers, and executes training programs, process improvements, and staff development efforts across the team.

Ms. Hartin-Swart began her 6-year career with Lockheed Martin as a subcontract administrator and has expanded into roles with increasing responsibilities in engineering, global supply chain, and program management.

During her time in the company’s Military Space Line of Business, she was responsible for the oversight and direction of contracts with the US Air Force for the construction of multiple space vehicles for various Department of Defense Programs.

Ms. Hartin-Swart proudly promotes Hispanic cultural heritage, STEM in public schools, and community volunteerism. At Lockheed Martin, she is an Executive Sponsor for the Space Hispanic Organization for Leadership Awareness Business Resource Group, and the Space lead for the Corporate Hispanic Leadership Council.

In these roles, she leads and coordinates HOLA projects and activities across the country for the 1,094 Space employees who are members of HOLA.
